What is This Little Light Ministries?

Whether you have been on several mission trips to the Dominican Republic or you are brand new, Thank You for your current support!! Our mission is to spread God’s love by offering education, food, and medical attention to children in poor communities in a Christian environment. We especially assist and fund a school in the Dominican Republic called Central Intregal Materno Infantil Vida (CIMIV). Dr. Enerio Mercedes and his family established the CIMIV over 25 years ago!

What is TLLM doing for CIMIV?

This Little Light Ministries’ goals is to raise funding for the teachers and staff. The teachers get paid $150\month through monthly support. The outstanding group of teachers feel that it is part of their personal mission to help the children in this village.

How has the pandemic affected CIMIV???

Since the pandemic, the students have not received two meals consistently. For about 6 months, the students were going home at noon, without lunch. CIMIV did not have the budget to purchase food for meals or cooks for the kitchen. As you probably guessed, these meals at the center may be the only meals they receive for the day. This resulted in the children’s education being affected.

What has This Little Light Ministries been doing for the center?

Members of TTLM have been speaking at local churches asking for help. As a ministry, we have been able to offer some assistance. The center has been able to feed the children at least one meal a day since April!! However, the Feed the Children food budget is quickly depleting.

Prayer Requests:

• The children receive adequate meals.
• The center receives funds to provide a food budget and cooks.
• The teachers and staff keep their focus on the Lord and make decisions in accordance with God’s word.
• Dr. Enerio and his family keep persevering, and their health stays stable.
• The teachers and staff receive the monthly support needed for a full staff.
• God opens a door to go on a mission trip to the center in the upcoming year.
